Glympse Bio has chosen Wise Construction to construct their new headquarters and research facility, located at Alewife Research Center in West Cambridge.
Spanning throughout 25,000 SF, the facility will allow Glympse to expand out of their LabCentral incubator space. The headquarters will include both high-tech research laboratories and workspace, all designed to help meet the company’s commitment to push scientific boundaries. To accommodate Glympse’s growing employee base, the project is being completed on a fast-track construction schedule, with the space ready for occupancy by late December.
To accommodate low ceiling heights, and meet the expedited timeline, Wise has spent time preplanning the project using a design-assist approach. This method brings the entire project team, including key subcontractors, together during design. The team then comes up with a plan on how to provide Glympse maximum value from the conceptual stage through project execution.
To aid in preplanning, the team is using Wise’s in-house VDC team for full 3D coordination, including virtually building the project using Revizto. This ensures the design will be seamlessly built within the existing conditions. Wise has proven that the design-assist approach produces the best quality project, maximizing time and reducing the schedule, on this project, we know it will ensure that Glympse is able to occupy their new space as quickly as possible.
