Expanding Cancer Care in Southern New Hampshire at Dartmouth Health
This 15,000 SF expansion delivers a comprehensive radiation therapy center, featuring a brand-new linear accelerator (LINAC) vault, a CT imaging suite, and multiple exam and support spaces—enabling more patients to access advanced, high-quality treatment close to home. Despite a significant mid-project scope increase, the team maintained the original schedule through close coordination, strong trade partnerships, and hands-on support from Wise engineering and VDC. Now, Dartmouth Cancer Center at Dartmouth Health’s Dartmouth Hitchcock Clinics in Manchester offers all three primary cancer treatments (surgery, chemotherapy, and radiation) to patients locally.

John NIro, Project Manager
Meet John: A New Hampshire resident with a Bachelor of Science in International Maritime Business from Massachusetts Maritime Academy. John took an unexpected but intentional path into construction, spending all his internships with general contractors before joining Wise as an Assistant Project Manager. Today, John serves as Project Manager, partnering with an impressive client list, including Dartmouth Health, Brigham and Women’s Hospital, and Boston Children’s Hospital, with previous experience supporting projects for Dana-Farber and BIDMC. And the list, he hopes, is only just beginning.
Reflecting on his time at Wise, he shared, “What I value most is how Wise truly trusts its people—Project Managers are empowered to make important decisions and lead with confidence. But above all, it’s the people. I genuinely look forward to seeing my team in the office and my staff in the field. We have such a special culture here; everyone sincerely cares about one another’s wellbeing, and that’s something you don’t typically find elsewhere.”
