A transformation at 51 Melcher Street
The transformation of 51 Melcher Street into a state-of-the-art life sciences facility represents a landmark achievement for Wise Construction and our project partners. The 100,000 SF building was converted from office use into a high-performance space supporting the evolving demands of the life sciences industry. Featuring a 60/40 lab-to-office space, the project included nine AHUs – one for each floor – along with new rooftop equipment, a switchgear room, boilers, pump skids, pH neutralization systems, and an electrical room. Every upgrade was carefully integrated to preserve the building’s historic character. Today, 51 Melcher is not just a model of adaptive reuse but a blueprint for future scientific breakthroughs.
