Alyson Winters Kavanagh: Senior Project Manager

Joining us from: Gilbane Building Company

Years in the industry:  20

Area of expertise: Renovation projects, tenant fit-outs, MEP and life safety upgrades, transportation upgrades, entertainment/food service.

What are you enjoying most about being a Wise employee so far? The culture here is very horizontal and inclusive.  There is collaboration across all management levels and different project teams and they genuinely support a work life balance – there are always dogs walking around the office and there were three wedding/baby showers in my first two weeks here!”

Chris Richards: Assistant Project Manager

Joining us from: Driftwood Capital

Years in the industry: 9

Area of expertise: Residential home construction and Life Science operations.

What are you enjoying most about being a Wise employee so far? “I really enjoy the fast-paced nature of the projects that I’m working on. At the end of the day, it’s motivating to know the spaces we build are used to develop vaccines, rare disease treatments, and ultimately will improve the quality of life for many. As a new hire, I’ve loved getting to know everyone at Wise and am inspired by my colleagues who always make themselves available to answer a question, provide insight on a topic, and lead by example. The Wise office truly operates like a big, collaborative team.”

Area of expertise: Lab fit-out and infrastructure projects.

What are you enjoying most about being a Wise employee so far? “I’ve enjoyed realizing that everyone I talk to from Wise loves working for the company. Very few companies have such a committed and conscientious group of employees.

Gustavo Costa: Assistant Project Manager

Joining us from: Cornerstone Construction Services, LLC

Years in the industry: 6

Area of expertise: Residential construction.

What are you enjoying most about being a Wise employee so far? Joining Wise is the best thing that has ever happened to me professionally; I feel complete joy coming to work every day. Everyone is respectful, kind, friendly, and patient teachers. Being an immigrant and dealing with the language barrier sometimes can be challenging, but Wise has a great staff who are always willing to teach. I’ve already gained so much knowledge in the commercial construction industry. I am glad to be part of all the exciting things happening at the company. For me, it’s a blessing to be here.”

Herb Pitts: Superintendent

Area of expertise: Healthcare: labs, imaging departments, patient rooms, multi-phase projects.

What are you enjoying most about being a Wise employee so far? I’m honored to be part of such a great company with an honorable reputation in the construction industry.  I’m quite impressed with the management and professionalism of the firm, and I’m really looking forward to meeting everyone.”

Jodi Tinkham: Senior Project Analyst

Joining us from: Bond Building Construction

Years in the industry: 15

Area of expertise: Healthcare, education and public jobs compiling the billing for the owners.

What are you enjoying most about being a Wise employee so far? “When I came in for my interview, I got a nice sense of how Wise works.  I noticed that the culture is very family-oriented which means a lot. Everyone has been so nice and welcoming which made it an easy transition for me from my last job.”

Johnathan Schiff: Assistant Project Manager

Joining us from: Anser Advisory, LLC

Area of expertise: Public work projects from K-12 schools, municipalities (pre-cast garage and city pools), and affordable housing

What are you enjoying most about being a Wise employee so far? “I came from an older office environment. The biggest thing I noticed right off the bat is the younger generation of construction professionals here at the Wise office which made the transition so much easier. From what I’ve heard, there are a lot of company events that everyone seems to have a great time at, so I look forward to participating in those in the future.”

Ken Alcorn: Superintendent

Joining us from: Ryan Companies US, Inc.

Area of expertise: Projects in the healthcare field, specifically projects at Brigham and Women’s Faulkner hospital the last 20 years.

What are you enjoying most about being a Wise employee so far? It has been a great experience joining Wise. There has been great support from the office and everybody from employees to subcontractors; they have been great to work with.”

Shawn Seaman: Chief Operating Officer

Joining us from: The Fallon Company

Years in the industry: 35

Area of expertise: Ground-up life science, research and hospital projects as well as renovations to same.

What are you enjoying most about being a Wise employee so far? There are many, many things I’m enjoying so far. First, the genuine and sincere family culture, which is truly remarkable. Second, the positive and energetic atmosphere from top to bottom, and last but not least, the incredible talent level across the board.”
