The Department of Internal Medicine at Brigham and Women’s Hospital is located beside the emergency room in one of the busiest areas of the hospital with the most foot traffic. Maintaining daily operations would be no small task during a 10,000 SF renovation and upgrade.
Thirty exam rooms, four nurses’ stations, offices and support work areas were renovated in the course of eight different phases in order to keep traffic patterns and business moving smoothly. Custom millwork was constructed and carpeting was installed to help create a more welcoming atmosphere for this hectic area.
