Four Chiller Placements at 51 Melcher Street in Boston’s Seaport District
four chiller placements at 51 Melcher Street

Wise and project partners are excited to share a recent mechanical milestone at our 100,000 SF conversion of a nine-story office building into a cutting-edge life science facility at 51 Melcher Street in Boston, MA.

Thanks to Hoverboard Drones, we got a close-up look into the successful crane pick installation of four Air Source Heat Pumps (Chillers), each weighing 20,680 lbs. and measuring 40 feet in length. This mechanical milestone was a heavily coordinated process between trade partners and the City of Boston to ensure a safe day of picks.

We want to extend a big thank you to C.J. Shaughnessy Crane Service, Inc. for safely guiding the equipment through the air, as well as our partners at Aermec who provided the state-of-the-art NRB-H outdoor reversible heat pump chillers, designed for high efficiency, energy savings, and reduced sound emissions.
